An AI receptionist for pressure washing companies that prices the surface and books the wash
Pressure washing callers ask about one thing and often end up booking three: the driveway, then the house, then the fence. Since September 2026 the AI can price each of those from your own sheet and book the job on the same call. Here's what it does and where it stops.
Ballpark prices by phone and text, and the Quick Quote page, work when you turn on the estimator in Settings (included on Elite, a $20/month add-on on Basic and Pro). With it off, Alex books the visit instead of giving a price.
Where pressure washing companies actually lose the job
From the first warm week of spring through fall, a pressure washing company's phone rings while the surface cleaner is running and nobody can hear it. The caller who wants the driveway done before a party calls the next company. The ones you catch want a price, and the honest answer ("depends on the size") without a number attached sounds like a runaround.
These are also the easiest jobs to upsell and the easiest to leave on the table. The customer calls about the driveway; nobody asks about the house, the patio or the fence. And a quote you text from the truck with no follow-up goes cold by the weekend.
What the AI does on a pressure washing company call
The AI answers as your company, in about two rings, on every call at once. It asks what needs washing and how big it is, in the terms your prices use:
- House wash: square footage and stories.
- Driveway: one-, two- or three-car.
- Patio or deck: small to large, and whether the deck should be sealed too.
- Fence: roughly how many feet.
- Roof: a soft wash, by size.
Alex, the AI receptionist, gives a ballpark for each surface from your price sheet and adds them up. With the default mid-region sheet, a two-car driveway is about $168 to $300, a large patio about $210 to $385, and a deck clean-and-seal runs about two and a half times the clean alone. It always says the crew confirms the exact price on site. Steep roofs and homes three stories or taller get an on-site quote instead of a phone price.
Then it books into two-hour arrival windows, same day if there's room, with jobs-per-window set to your number of crews. Out-of-area callers get a polite no; robocalls get dropped. The same questions and ranges run on your website's Quick Quote. A customer who texts a photo of a stained driveway or a green-streaked wall gets the Quick Quote link back, and the photo is saved to their customer card.
What happens after the call
With auto-assign on, each job goes to a crew member who works that day, is free in that window, and has the fewest jobs so far. It lands on their Google Calendar and in their app with the window the customer was promised. Callers who got a price but didn't book get follow-up texts at 24 hours, 3, 5 and 10 days, stopping when they reply. Missed calls get a text back. Booked customers get a reminder.
Customers who want a surface done every month or every quarter can be put on a repeating schedule, and the next visit is booked ahead. Once-a-year washes aren't a repeating schedule; that's what the spring campaign below is for. It doesn't plan your route. On Elite, outbound campaigns call or text last year's customers each spring, which is where a pressure washing company's easiest revenue sits.
A week on the phone, pressure washing company edition
This is an example of how the system handles a week, not a customer's results.
Friday in May, 8:45 am. You're running the surface cleaner on a driveway. A caller wants their own two-car driveway done before a graduation party. Alex quotes about $168 to $300, asks whether anything else needs washing, and the caller adds the back patio. Alex adds that range, says the crew confirms on site, and books Saturday 8 to 10. At 9:30 someone asks about a roof soft wash on a steep two-story; the AI books an on-site look. At 6:15 pm a homeowner prices a 150-foot fence and books for Tuesday.
Monday, a caller from Thursday who got a house-wash price gets the day-3 text and books. The following spring, on Elite, a campaign texts everyone you washed last year.
What AI Front Desk Helper does besides answer the phone
Answering the phone is the entry point, not the product. Here is the rest of what runs once a contractor is on AI Front Desk Helper:
- Booking that respects your calendar. Alex checks your own Google Calendar and offers real open times, so it never books a slot you're already on a job for. Jobs per time slot, arrival windows, appointment length, same-day booking and service days by ZIP code are all settings. Reschedules and cancellations move or remove the event.
- Crews, not just one calendar. Optional auto-assign books each job to a free crew member in turn, using their own calendar and work days, and adds them to the event. Repeating visits (weekly, every two weeks, monthly) can be paused for one customer or for the season.
- After-hours emergencies. You write what counts as an emergency and list up to three on-call phones. Alex rings them in order with a text briefing, and the tech presses 1 to take the call. Emergency texts and website chats alert the same phones, and a tech can reply CALL to be connected.
- Photos by text. Customers can text a photo to your number. Alex saves it to their card, forwards an emergency photo to the on-call phones, sends your Quick Quote link for a job it can price, and offers a visit for anything else.
- Straight answers on price. With the estimator turned on, for junk removal, window cleaning, pressure washing, house cleaning, pest control, garage doors, pool service, flooring, concrete, window installation, stump grinding and lawn care, Alex gives a ballpark from your own price sheet and says the crew confirms on site. Trades that price on site can set a service call fee, and Alex answers financing and insurance questions from what you set. No number you didn't give it.
- Instant online quotes. A branded quote-and-book page for your business (yours looks like quote.yourcompany.com) where customers get a ballpark and pick a time, day or night. Built in for painting, roofing, siding, fencing, gutters and the twelve trades above, and switched on with the estimator (included on Elite, a $20/month add-on on Basic and Pro).
- Estimate follow-up that doesn't quit. Text sequences at 24 hours, 3, 5 and 10 days on every quote that hasn't closed, written like a contractor, stopping the moment the customer replies.
- Objection detection. "Too expensive" or "need to think about it" triggers a recovery script instead of a polite goodbye.
- Outbound campaigns. AI calls and texts to your past-customer list for seasonal reactivation, win-backs and referral asks. You set the campaign; it dials.
- Google Business Profile, handled. Every new review gets an owner reply drafted for you; profile posts can be drafted, approved and scheduled weeks ahead; a profile health audit shows how you stack up against nearby competitors.
- Revenue coaching by lead source. Every phone number is tied to where it came from (Angi, LSA, Facebook, referral, yard sign), so the dashboard shows which marketing produces booked revenue and which to cut.
- Customer DISC profiles. Every caller and texter gets a buying-style read (D, I, S or C) from what they actually said, with a confidence flag, so you walk into the estimate knowing how to sell to them.
- Franchise HQ. One rollup across every location for multi-unit operators.
- Reseller program. Agencies can offer the whole system under their own brand. How it works.
- Optional add-on: AI Rep Coach. Records in-home estimates and coaches the people who sell, with manager review and team analytics. Sold separately, per seat.
Setup for a pressure washing company
In Settings, pick Pressure Washing as your trade, or Window Cleaning & Pressure Washing if you do both. That loads the price sheet. Turn on the estimator in Settings, and Alex uses it on calls and texts and the matching Quick Quote goes on your website. Open See the prices the AI quotes, adjust each surface to your rates, apply the recommended two-hour windows and same-day booking, and set jobs-per-window to your number of crews (or add your crew and turn on auto-assign). Forward your number or port it.
A straight answer about where this comes from: AI Front Desk Helper was built and tested inside my painting company. The pressure washing profile was added in September 2026. The behavior described on this page is what the system does today; we don't have results from pressure washing companies to publish yet, and we won't make them up. When we have real numbers we'll put them here.

Which plan for a pressure washing company
Pro is the starting point: calendar booking in arrival windows, reminders and quote follow-up. Elite pays off once you have a season of customers behind you, because spring outbound to last year's list, review replies, and revenue by lead source are the growth levers in this trade. Basic answers and captures leads without booking.
Questions pressure washing companies ask
Which surfaces can it price by phone?
House washes, driveways, patios, decks (including clean-and-seal), fences and roof soft washes, each by size from your price sheet. It gives ranges, never firm prices, and says the crew confirms on site.
Can a caller add more than one surface?
Yes. Alex asks whether anything else needs washing and adds the ranges together before booking.
What won't it quote by phone?
Steep roofs and homes three stories or taller. Those get an on-site quote booked instead.
Can I set my own prices?
Yes. The sheet starts from regional defaults and you adjust each surface by percentage. You can read the exact sheet the AI uses.
Does it book recurring washes?
Yes, on a schedule up to every 3 months: turn on repeating appointments and the AI sets it up on the call, or you do it from the dashboard. For once-a-year washes, Elite's outbound campaigns rebook past customers each season.
Fifteen minutes. We call your business line, run a real pressure washing company call, and show you what happens after it. You decide.
